• Education: Vocational diploma or short course certificate in Engineering, Metal Fabrication, Tool and Die, or Welding.
• Experience: 3 years of working experience in shipyard (if any).
• Vacancies: 10

Main Duties of Ship Welder

• Perform welding to assemble and fabricate metal structures on ships using various welding methods like TIG, MIG and Arc welding.
• Interpret blueprints and technical specifications to accurately perform welding on ships and marine structures.
• Prepare metal components by cutting, cleaning, and grinding surfaces.
• Coordinate with other shipyard workers like fabricators, pipefitters, and engineers.
• Diagnose and repair damaged or worn areas on ships.
• Make sure that all welding work meets maritime standards and regulations for shipbuilding and repair.
