Details for Ship Manager Job in UK

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or related field.

Experience: 5 to 10 years of professional experience in the maritime industry is required.

• Experience with shipping company or major cruise line is highly desirable.
• Chief Engineer experience on cruise ship or similar vessel is strong advantage.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of marine technical operations.

• Solid knowledge of international safety and compliance regulations related to ship operations.

Requirements: Must have ability to work onsite in Weybridge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with onboard senior marine staff.
• Supervise and support daily ship operations and troubleshooting.
• Manage the maintenance plan including repairs and upgrades.
• Oversee dry-docking projects and related technical tasks within the approved budget.
• Handle guarantee claims and coordinate with shipyards as needed.
