Manual Tig Welder Job Overview
Education: A level 3 Welding Engineering apprenticeship.
Experience: Previous experience with manufacturing jigs and assembly aids.
- Manual TIG welding experience in thin surfaces.
Knowledge: Advance knowledge to interpret welding procedures and schedules.
Skills: Good communication and time management skills.
Type: Full-time and permanent.
Salary: 16.83£ hourly
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawing to understand manufacturing requirements.
- Review job cards, kitting lists, and work instructions for accurate production planning.
- Report defective tools to the team leader for replacement or repair.
- Make sure that all tools are properly stored after use.
- Verify that measuring and production equipment is within calibration before use.
- Perform manual TIG welding following specified schedules.
- Conduct visual and theoretical tests to meet quality and NADCAP standards.
- Inspect welded products to make sure they meet quality and customer specifications.
