Farm Multi Skilled Handyman Job

Are you skilled handyman who loves working with hands? Ngai Tahu Farming is hiring Farm Multi Skilled Handyman to join their company. This is full-time permanent role based in Christchurch. Your day to day tasks will include fixing fences, repairing machinery, and landscaping. This job also includes helping with health and safety tasks. You’ll operate tractors, repair water systems, and handle other duties that are important to farming life. Male and female both farmers are welcome to apply for this position.

Farm Multi Skilled Handyman Job Overview

Education: Candidates with or without educational certificate are eligible for this position.

Experience: Previous experience with general maintenance and repairs along with skills in fencing and using farm equipment.

Skills: Excellent teamwork and problem solving skills.

License: A valid New Zealand driver’s license is necessary for this role.

Certificate: Training or certificates for operating farm tools is a big plus.

Type: Full-time and permanent

Responsibilities

• Drive tractors and other farm vehicles.
• Clean and grease machines to keep them working well.
• Fix and set up water pipes and systems on the farm.
• Build or fix fences and do small carpentry jobs.
• Help with spraying and other farm work.
• Teach and guide younger workers on the farm.
• Follow safety rules and make sure other do too.
